Snow Fun!!! Well, I thought that I would send you all some MORE snow photos....YES...it is STILL snowing here. It started on Saturday and finally today it has stopped (for now) We got 8 inches in 4 hours last night....total accumulation in 5 days....approx 2.5 feet!!! yes...i said FEET!!!! It's CRAZY! I think I have a bit of cabin fever, so I try to get out for a few minutes every day. David has shovelled the driveway a total of about 8 times now....he actually had to go buy a snow shovel....5 years now we've made it through with NO snow shovel and now, 6 months before we move back east...we NEED a snow shovel!!!! ahhhh!!! Anyway, hope you all enjoy the photos!

Here is our little snow angel...or snow bear I guess!

Here's Charlie and Dad taking a break from shovelling the driveway! Notice David holding Charlie's snow packed shovel for him...the snow is quite heavy.

I was teaching him how to make snow balls to throw at Dad...not bad for his first one, eh?

This photo was taken last night; Charlie was trying out a new toy (big inner tube with bright colors, etc) he thought it was pretty cool! Sometimes he gets a bit wobbly (his head that is) but he's getting stronger by the minute.

On another note...We're looking forward to our trip home for Christmas...Charlie and I leave in just over a week!!!! He's now a whopping 15 lbs at 3 1/2 months and soooo happy (just like his mother...living in a "happy bubble") He talks lots (also just like his mother) and eats lots (just like his father (hope David doesn't look at this post - hee!hee!)) We can't wait to see everyone and for you to get to meet Charlie!!!!

Snowed in, but we're OK!!! Just thougth that I would let you all know that, although we are under a good foot and a half of snow....we're doing OK!!! I know, I know, we're not supposed to get snow out here on the west coast...but, as you can see by the photos below, we're defniately getting snow...and LOTS of it! It started on Saturday and hasn't stopped! We hear that the weather is quite nice in the east which is making us wonder if we've made the right decision to move back??? hmmm? just kidding, we WILL come home Mom!!!

Anyway, here are a couple shots of Charlie and his first snowfall....hope you enjoy! Oh...before you look, I might as well defend myself by saying that "I'm NOT a bad mother" as I'm sure some of you will think when you see the photos....No, his ear did NOT get frost bitten and fall off, nor did his hand....he was only outside for a grand total of 5 minutes and was fully covered for about 41/2 of those minutes, by he just happened to turn his head and stick out his hand just as the camera was flashing...there....now....enjoy the photos and don't worry about Charlie freezing! Besides, I think you can tell he was pretty happy about the whole adventure!

On another note....here is Charlie today just going down for his afternoon nap. He has just found his hands and LOVES to grab everything and feel things. So, he now will pull the blankets up around his face when he's tired and "snuggle" into them. Today, because I was trying to take his picture, he kept pulling the blanket right over his head and grinning back at me...too cute!!!!

Have a great day!!! lots of love to all of you!

3 Months old! I can't believe how the time has flown by...everyone told me to "enjoy every minute because it goes by soooo fast"....they were absolutely right! I find it very hard to believe that Charlie was born over 3 months ago. I was looking back thru the archives on our blog and WOW...he was sooo small (I can say that now that I've had a few months to forget about delivering all 8 lbs 6 oz of our "little" bundle of joy!!)....WOW....his hair was very dark (David's a bit concerned he may have his hair genes as it is MUCH thinner and lighter now than just 3 short months ago!)....WOW....I blogged ALOT!!! I must have caught the blog bug because I was posting photos every 48 hours and now here I am posting only weekly it seems (i'm getting this done before midnight so I can say it has only been 6 days instead of 7 since my last post this time!!!) I'm going to chalk it up to "Charlie's getting more active and doesn't sleep as much...so...less time for me to spend on the computer"....hope you all buy that!!! Let's just be sure of one thing...it has nothing to do with me getting less sleep too!
Anyway, I have tried to carry the camera around with me the past couple of days to take a few shots, so here they are....

He was very excited to meet his cousin Amy (fell asleep on her knee quite easily....I think he could sense she was a MOM!!). Now I'm taking a chance on posting this photo...but....I figured since Mindy doesn't live with us anymore, and therefore isn't too close by to beat me up, I'd take my chances. Read Charlie's bib!!!!

He's wanting to sit up alot these days (which I'm very excited about because I'm quite concerned about him getting a big bald spot on the back of his head for a while, so anything to keep him NOT laying down is GREAT with me!!!) So...here's our little sports fan cheering for the BC Lions in the Grey Cup on Sunday....YEAHHHH Lions!!!!!

I know that he will be very angry with me someday for posting this one....but....here is a shot of Charlie in the "big tub". He had graduated to 3" of water (in what must feel like the ocean) in the bathtub. He is enjoying it very much as he kicks his arms and legs while "squealing" in delight and getting me soaked!!!!

This one's for you, Bev!!! Charlie was just sitting back, relaxing in his tartan sleeper wondering what his cousins are up to in Scotland???

Finally, here's me doing what I do most days...staring at my beautiful baby boy!!!!!

I LOVE Massages!!! Hello all! I know, I know...yes, it's been another week and no photos...so, here are a couple that David took the other night as Charlie was getting his massage...which, as you can tell by the photos he absolutely loves!!! Sooooo relaxing!

Here is a photo that I just took so I would have something else to post....a little silly and not such a great one, but....you wanted photos Aly, well....here's Charlie and I just 2 minutes ago!!!

I'll try to post more this weekend! love you all!

Our "Wet Coast" Holiday and other photos! Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been 8 days since my last post....are you all going through Charlie Withdrawl? Sorry, but last week (Thursday) we decided to go with David (Friday) on a little trip down the Oregan Coast! Now, if you've been watching the weather at all this past weekend, you'll know that we picked the wrong weekend to see the sites; however, neither rain, nor wind kept us from having a good family mini-holiday!!!! I have also included a couple other photos for your viewing pleasure.

this one was on Halloween (of course)....Look everyone..... WE CAUGHT A BEAR CUB!!!!!! We went to visit a few friends and my work...he was a BIG hit!!!

Here is the apple of our eyes (not sure if you can tell or not, but, his hat is an apple!!!! )

OK....our trip.....This photo was taken on the first morning...we were such eager tourists that we went for a walk on the promenade in terential (I have no idea how to spell that word, but it means VERY hard rain!!!!) downpours! The wind was very strong too and when a big gust came along and tipped Charlie's stroller over we decided we were being a little ridiculous and headed back to the room....As you can see in the photo below, he thought the walk was quite relaxing and fell asleep to the sound of raindrops (LOTS of them!!) on his stroller's rain shield! I, on the other hand, was completely drenched from our 5 minute excursion.

We stayed in Seaside, Oregan....what a GREAT spot!!! Beautiful beaches, lots of history, within driving distance to Astoria and Cannon beach (rainy day trips we took) AND....there was a GREAT outlet shopping mall just 3 minutes from our hotel! So....on Sunday while the boys watched football, Momma shopped!!! Anyway, here we are on the ONE morning that it wasn't raining posing for a photo....YES....Charlie IS with us....look closely....David's wearing him!!!
Again, on the one morning we woke up and it wasn't raining we took advantage and went for a walk along the beach....it was beautiful! I know we couldn't see much through all the fog, but nevertheless, what we DID see was wonderful! Charlie thougth it was pretty cool seeing the Pacific Ocean so close...he thought about putting his feet in, but he was just toooo cozy snuggled up with Dad!
All the other photos were taken from inside the van so they didn't turn out that great. I actually took a little video clip from the passenger's seat one day en-route to Cannon Beach and you can barely hear my voice because the rain is pounding on the windshield so hard! So, the last couple of photos are our "inside" activities.

Here's our little blue eyed man having some Tummy Time. He was showing us just how strong he is by doing his push-ups!

This is the final morning of our trip....the boys were relaxing & watching sports desk while Mom got everything packed up....aren't they handsome????

that's it for now....again, sorry it's been awhile! I'll try not to let it happen again.
