Halifax Fun!!! Hi Gang! We were away in Nova Scotia this weekend and so I thought I would share some GREAT photos that we took (mostly on Monday as I was having a few camera "issues" and so didn't take any on my own until then...will send more as I receive them from Aly). Anyway, enough of the blah, blah, blah! Lots to share.....
Here is Charlie and his beautiful new cousin Katie!!!! They had so much fun together. Katie is now about 7 weeks old and man is she a looker!!!! We see many similarities between the two of them.
Here he is holding Katie's hand and smiling. He thougth she was quite special. He even leaned over and gave her kisses several times. And....he was calling her "baba"!!!! I think that Katie will definately have an older cousin looking out for her in the years to come.

Now....you perhaps can't see what this is that Charlie is holding, but it's his new favorite snack....hence the very large grin on his face and the squealing laugh (that you can't hear of course, but should be able to tell from the photo that he's definately making some sort of blissful noice !)

So....what is it you ask????? good ol' Brunswick sardines! Yup....right from the can, he eats at least a half of a can/day! You see, we're not eating any dairy for a few weeks to see if that makes a difference in his breathing, and the dietician told me that there are certain foods that would be great for him to get calcium, fat, protein, etc.....SARDINES!!!!! "IF" he'll eat them," she says. We tried them and he loves them....we're talking LOVES them....like lip smackin' good!!!! Crazy kid!
This one's a little out of order, but here is Charlie in his swing at Nana and Papa's last weekend. He loves to sit and swing on the veranda, overlooking the lake and listening to the birds. I think he's maybe already a bit of a nature buff???
Charlie and his Dad setting out on his first boat ride! Are they not just the most handsome boys you've seen in a long while???

And this is Charlie on the way back in to the marina after LOTS of fresh air and a full day of site seeing and sun! Notice he's holding the deck line....he really wanted to show Captain Jim that he was a big boy and could help out if needed!

Well, I think that's it for now! Only 9 days left and we'll be moving into our new house! Can't wait to get some boxes unpacked and feel like Home! We've been having GREAT weather - although I think they're calling for rain the next few days...we'll see! Charlie is doing very well and we just can't believe that he'll be 11 months on Thursday!!!! And 1 yr next month!!!! We hope that you are all doing well too! Don't forget to tell us how you're doing.

finally, here are some pictures of the tall ships in Halifax harbour during the parade of sails. It was quite spectacular! We had wonderful weather and enjoyed it very much! Special thanks to Captain Jim for the invite!

Hi Charlie -your Greatgrampy ,Donald, would have been pleased to see you eating sardines and snacks. It is an old family enterprise that put the fish on the table in nana's home for years. Keep those pics coming mom and Auntie Aly.

I thought you and Kate looked alike when I saw your photos. And seeing you together confirms it! I guess you didn't get all Weir genes after all. I agree with some other comments that sardines are just wrong for an 11month to be eating. Come on over and visit us and we'll give you some proper haggis!!
Love you all.
